We are the data controller for the personal data described below.

2. Personal data we collect
- Contact details: name, business name, email, phone, postal address.
- Enquiry details: property type, service of interest, site notes you provide via our intake form.
- Quotation and contract data: proposals, invoices, payment records, signed agreements.
- Site survey data: photographs, sketches and notes taken during a survey, with your permission.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, referring URL, collected via cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
- Correspondence: emails, messages and call notes.
3. How we use your data and lawful basis
- To respond to enquiries and quote for work — lawful basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract.
- To deliver installation, commissioning and maintenance services — lawful basis: performance of a contract.
- To invoice, take payment and keep accounting records — lawful basis: legal obligation and legitimate interests.
- To manage warranty claims and customer support — lawful basis: performance of a contract and legitimate interests.
- To improve our website and services — lawful basis: legitimate interests.
- To send service updates relevant to your installation — lawful basis: legitimate interests; you may opt out at any time.
- Marketing communications — lawful basis: consent (or soft opt-in for existing customers in respect of similar services).
4. CCTV footage and customer-owned systems
Where we install CCTV or access control at your premises, you are the data controller for the footage and access logs captured. We do not routinely access or hold customer footage. If we view footage during a maintenance call or fault diagnosis, we do so as a data processor on your instruction and do not retain copies unless you ask us to.
5. Sharing your data
We share personal data only where necessary, with:
- Hosting, email and form-handling providers used to operate this website.
- Accounting and invoicing software providers.
- Manufacturers, monitoring centres and trade suppliers where required to fulfil your order or a warranty claim.
- Professional advisers, insurers and regulators where required by law.
We do not sell your personal data. Where data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on adequacy decisions or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
6. How long we keep your data
- Enquiry data that does not result in a contract: up to 24 months.
- Contract, installation and as-installed records: 7 years from the end of the relationship (insurance and warranty purposes).
- Accounting records: 6 years after the relevant financial year, as required by HMRC.
- Marketing consents: until withdrawn, reviewed at least every 24 months.
7. Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request erasure where we no longer have a lawful basis to hold it;
- restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- data portability for data you provided to us electronically;

8. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls on our internal systems and supplier due diligence. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to reduce risk.

Our services are not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

We may update this policy from time to time. The version, effective date and last-updated date are shown above. Material changes will be flagged on this page.
